Mexican Sunflower Yellow Torch stands tall alongside other sunflowers and towering native perennials, illuminating the garden with its golden-orange flame and velvety petals atop robustly branched stems. This shrubby native from south of the border thrives when grown from seeds sown directly after frost, flourishing vigorously until the arrival of fall. Yellow Torch is deer-resistant and a magnet for pollinators. As the season progresses, its cone centers ripen, providing a late-season feast for birds drawn to its abundant seeds.
