Customer photo review of Daylily Roots - Happy Mix

Hello! I planted two batches of 5 at slightly different times - probably May and June. I had maybe two blossoms. I did amend the soil, and these are in a partly shaded area. It's been a very hot, dry summer - a bit drier than usual and I do water frequently and fertilize. I am hopeful for next year.

    Daylily Roots - Happy Mix

Store owner replied: Hello Patricia F. Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We greatly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. It's so important to have feedback like this so we can continually improve our products and planting instructions. After speaking with our Customer Service Team, it seems we were able to assist you with this. Daylilies planted in May or June may not bloom their first season because they are focused on establishing roots during the hot, dry summer months. The stress of late planting combined with high heat can limit flower production, even if the plants look healthy. In most cases, daylilies planted later in the season will put their energy into settling in and then reward you with stronger growth and reliable blooms the following year. Thanks for your time in sharing your experience with us!
