Easy to grow. I direct sowed (mid May, after MN last frost) 6 seeds and 5 germinated. They are flowering. Mine are a gorgeous salmon color. I love watching them grow and can't wait to have them trailing!

Zero germination. Not a single seed sprouted.

I should've listened to the other reviews. I planted them all and not one germinated.

WOW. These seeds took off like they were in a race for how fast and big they could grow. I wasn’t sure what they would do since I live in Alaska and some of the seeds were a year old. I am totally surprised. Not all are pink but it’s probably the soil ph. Purchased again for next spring. Am sold on these seeds as they couldn’t be more lovely. .

I've tried nicking them slightly to "break" the outer coating and then soaking them for 12 hours. It's been 3 weeks and none have germinated. Don't waste your time and money.

I've grown nasturtiums from seeds for several years now and this is the first year trying the Salmon Baby because I wanted the pink color in my garden versus the typical bright orange. I've tried two different batches now started a month apart (all from the same packet), and none.. I mean ZERO of them have germinated. They've all been started in peat-free organic seed starting mix that I make myself and grown in a greenhouse. I've soaked the seeds from 12-24 hrs and done all the normal steps I take with nasturtiums, but none of them have germinated. The last batch I started on 5/11/25 and today (6/4/25) there is still nothing. Disappointing!!

I start nasturtiums from seed every year using proven methods like soaking, the paper towel technique, direct sowing, and seed blocking. Unfortunately, the Salmon Baby seeds were a disappointment—only a few germinated, and most rotted quickly despite proper care. In contrast, the Velvet variety I purchased at the same time had excellent germination and is growing well. I suspect I may have received a bad batch of Salmon Baby seeds. Disappointing, as I was really excited to grow this variety.

These were pretty slow to sprout (~2.5 weeks), so some patience required. Germination percentage was 67%. Plants quickly bushed out after transplanting, then started blooming about 3 weeks later. My disappointment was that the color of blooms is definitely nowhere near salmon color, they are an orange-toned yellow with reddish throat. The foliage is also a bright green rather than slightly blue-toned sagey leaves in the website photo. The flowers and foliage together actually look very much like the apricot dwarf variety offered here, so I have to think that there was a mixup when packaging seeds. Only one of the plants might be the intended variety - it took the longest to germinate and is the smallest but has orange flowers and slightly sagey leaves.
