Just be sure to plant enough—these look best when planted in bulk so that you have enough to enjoy outside and cut to bring inside. Warmer zones plant in the fall, cooler zones start indoors.

Note: In Zones 8–10, ranunculus are grown as perennials—plant in fall for spring blooms. In Zones 4–7, they are treated as cool-season annuals. Start corms indoors in late winter and transplant after nights stay above 30°F, or dry-store them and plant in spring after hard frosts.

    I planted 20 corms last spring and grew fewer flowers than that bc I didn’t water them enough. I later dug up the corms, saved them in my basement until this past spring and planted them outside. Today I noticed at least 20 buds and cut three blooms. They’re so delicate looking and pretty!

    Only about 10 of the 20 corms made it, and most of them are orange. The color is the most disappointing since I planned to have the different pinks go with other flowers I’m growing. I wouldn’t buy ranunculus bulbs here again.

    Pretty disappointed in the colors I received. The colors I got were the same as the other commenter who posted a photo of dark pink and orange blooms. I only received two colors: One of which was depicted online (dark pink) and the other color which not advertised (bright orange). I'll order elsewhere in the future
