    Absolutely stunning! Quintessential color, petal count - the ultimate peony. No wonder they are priced as they are. Last year, first year after planting, I had two or three blooms after planting six roots. This year, I have about four or five, and I'm quite excited to see this one multiply for years and years to come!

    I bought in fall 2024, it came up in the spring 2025 and I noticed some weird coloring on the leaves but I just figured it needed moved to a sunnier location. Transplanted it to a different location that fall 2025 and it came up with the lines again so I finally googled and realized it's had mosaic virus this whole time. I have other peonies that were planted nearby that do not have any virus so am suspecting the tuber was already infected when I got it.
