My daughter in-law got me these seeds for Mother’s Day.
I grew them in tall pot , on my south porch and in Oklahoma heat. You brushed by them. and wondered which bloom you were smelling. It’s a very forgiving plant if you forgot to water for a day. Heavy bloomer and attached all the best creatures. Collecting seeds for replanting.
0% germination rate. Sowed indoors alongside the 4 other marigold variations (indoor, 72 cell seed trays with humidity domes, under grow lights with 2-3 seeds per cell) and have excellent germination (at least 2 sprouts per cell) and growth on the other 4 marigold variations. The starfire marigold mix had no germination in the cells. I'm super disappointed, I was really looking forward to seeing these bloom.

Love this bushy, fern like variety. Terrible germination rate. Disappointing.
I was very excited about these little marigolds but unfortunately out of the entire packet only 3 came up. They’re doing great and I’m looking forward to seeing how they turn out once they bloom but I was definitely hoping for more

Very poor germination rate. Sowed at the same time as Stawberry blonde which has done fantastically well, but only two seeds germinated of this one.

I started these Starfire marigolds in the same flat as the other marigold sold by Eden-Fireball. Fireball had a germination rate of 100% (30/30). But Starfire had a germination rate of 10% (3/30). I would normally think I screwed up but the Starfires were started just like the Fireballs and were under identical conditions. Maybe a bad pack of seeds or something.

Had great germination rates and was a fast grower. The plant had nice dense foliage and a good number of petite blooms that looked great in a bouquet. Had a bit of a problem with the stems of the plant breaking, even when staking the plant, which was surprising because its only about a foot tall.
Started off really cute, foliage is super ferny and adorable, but did not bloom consistently like I have come to expect from a marigold. Has been mostly foliage all summer. Disappointing.
