Our Hosta Mix is perfect for the gardener who can't settle on just one variety! This wonderful collection is as useful as it is attractive. When you plant the roots amid spring-flowering bulbs, the hostas' foliage will obscure the flowers' foliage as they begin to fade for the season. The hostas in this awesome assortment will happily grow in shady areas where grass will not.
• Note: Fall-Planted Hostas Ship to All Zones Beginning in October
• Mid Summer Blooming, Easy to Grow, Pollinator Attractor
• Perennial mix sure to please all Hosta lovers! Prefers Sun/Partial Shade

We received 10 roots of Mixed Hosta Roots in our order. They came fairly late in October, and when we planted, it snowed quite quickly after. I don't know if that's the reason possibly none of these came up (it's possible one or two did, but they are so small and don't look like they're going to make it), but I'm really disappointed in Eden Brothers for not responding to my inquiry about it. I sent it May 26th, and it's June 1st, now. I did a review on each variety we got because the same thing happened with all of them: disappointment.
Store owner replied:
Hello Jennifer. Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that your Mixed Hostas were disappointing! Hostas are often among the last perennials to emerge in spring, and after a late-season planting, factors such as early snow, winter conditions, soil temperatures, and moisture levels can sometimes delay establishment or reduce vigor. We also want to apologize for the delay in responding to your inquiry! Your message came during the busiest part of our season, which led to longer response times than normal. We are glad we were able to connect with you and provide a resolution. Thank you for your feedback and for the opportunity to make things right. Wishing you a beautiful growing season!
Just don't! Bought 2 sets for a total of 10. 6 actually sprouted and came up. Take your money to a local nursery and buy a healthy plant. You will actually save money. The shipping costs here are ridiculous.
Unfortunately none of these took root despite proper planting timing to establish them. I tried to wait until leaving a review hoping something would emerge but no luck! So sad!

Hello Keeley. Thank you for sharing your experience with the mixed hosta roots! We’re sorry to hear that none established, as that is certainly disappointing after taking the time to plant and wait. Our team previously reached out with a resolution and would still be happy to assist you. Please feel free to reply to our original message or contact our customer service team at 855-440-2929 so we can help make this right. We always stand by our products and are here to help!

Hello Trying my hardest! Thank you for your review of Eden Brothers! We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, as feedback like this helps us improve our products and planting instructions! In your cooler planting zone, it’s generally better to plant hosta roots in spring rather than late fall because hostas need time to establish strong root systems before winter sets in. A spring planting gives them the entire growing season to settle in, build energy, and prepare for dormancy. From our follow-up with Customer Service, it looks like we were able to assist you. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention!
Ordered the mix. Got 5 bulbs. One of the five sprouted. Not great odds.🥲

We strive to ensure the quality of our products and can share in your frustrations, as we wish for all customers to be satisfied with their purchase. After speaking with our Customer Service Team, it seems we were able to resolve this for you. Thanks for your time in sharing your experience with us!
Was very pleased with these hostas. Nice variety, and I have one forming a flower stalk the first year of planting! Did very well in space along S Fence which stays shaded most of the day.
I am so pleased with what I received, all specimens came up very quickly and are absolutely beautiful. The specimens I received are exact to the photo which I am pleased with as well. The quality and consistency among the packs I ordered are without saying impeccable. I will definitely continue ordering from Eden being the quality of products I receive consistently are superior.

The roots came in good shape and sprouted quickly. I was very disappointed that of the 2 packages of the assorted types, they seem to be only 2 different variants, no darker colored. Also they were not individually labeled. But according to Eden Brother's website "Blue Hostas need more shade to retain their blue color and the yellow and white leaved varieties require more sun to maintain their color. Thick leaved Hostas will tolerate more sun compared to thin leaved varieties." How do we know where or how far apart to plant them if they all come in the same bag?
Over all a good product, but I would order the individual hostas so you know what you are getting and where and how far apart to plant them.
