We are sorry that several of your Gladiolus corms rotted and that the blooms that did develop didn’t provide the balance of colors you were expecting from the mix. In Zone 6, May is generally an appropriate time to plant Gladiolus, once the soil has begun to warm. For the best results, choose a full-sun location with very well-drained soil, as prolonged spring rain, heavy or compacted soil, or excessive watering can cause corms to rot before they establish. Planting about 4–6 inches deep and avoiding consistently saturated soil can help encourage healthy root development. Some natural variation in the number of each color can occur in a mix, but we understand the disappointment when the display is predominantly two colors. We’re glad our Customer Care team had the opportunity to provide a resolution and appreciate you bringing both concerns to our attention. We stand behind our products and our Grow Guarantee and hope these tips help make your next Gladiolus planting a thriving, colorful display!

    They were all one color (coral on the outside, white inside), except for one which was a deep orange, so they still look nice in the planter. I will order more but will choose a group of colors instead.

    I put these babies in a big planter and boy they popped right up! I checked on them daily even in the morning and again as sundown and they grew! You will not be disappointed with these blooms. They didn't come out as tall as other varieties but you won't be disappointed with the color they bring. They worked well as cut flowers in vases.

    The shipping time and cost were minimal, and these arrived in perfect shape. I am pleased with the growth of these bulbs as well. They have not had time to bloom, but from my prior experience, it won't be long before I am enjoying gorgeous arrangements on my foyer shelves. Definitely worth the money!
