    I bought two tubers and both had three shoots starting soon after arrival. They took a little bit to pop up after planting but after a slow start they took off. They are beautiful but like a another reviewer stated they look very Gothic next to some of my other flowers. I will be putting them in a differnt location next year. Although they are very pretty the actual color is very deep, almost a burgundy and much more saturated that shown. The single photo on the website is not accurate in my opinion. Only a few of my blooms have had petals that faded to the light color shown and only at the very end of their life.

    Night Silence is beautiful. I do not believe the item photo does the blooms justice. The foliage is dark and beautiful. The blooms themselves are a combination of mauve purple and pink with a dark center. This tuber was absoltuely worth it. However, be strategic with companion planting to compliment the colors. It has a very Victorian/goth look and seems off surrounded by bright vibrant colors.

    Incredibly disappointed in my Eden Brothers dahlia order this year. Both Night Silence clumbs were received with almost all tubers having broken necks. Attempted to grow out two salvaged tubers, but neither tuber sprouted.

    Store owner replied: Hello Kyley. We are very sorry your Night Silence Dahlia clumps arrived with broken necks and that the two tubers you were able to salvage ultimately did not sprout. Dahlia tubers can tolerate some cosmetic damage, but the neck and crown area are especially important, as a tuber needs a viable eye connected to an intact crown and neck in order to produce new growth. When several tubers in a clump arrive with completely broken necks, we understand why that would be concerning and why you were disappointed after giving the remaining tubers a chance to grow. We are glad our Customer Care team was able to provide a resolution. Please remember that if any live goods arrive looking damaged or questionable, you never have to wait to see how they perform.
