Easy all-around bean! I will definitely be growing these again, heavy producer and easy to harvest. Bushes are tough. Don't need to be so tedious when harvesting in a hurry, and the beans release well without losing anything or damaging the vine. I think these are very tasty myself, and completely stringless which is a crowd pleaser. Zone 3 and I'm on harvest #3 in July.
As a first time veggie gardener i really did not know what to expect. These beans came up pretty quickly. While the bushes were small, they did produce some beans for weeks. Even after the first few harvests they continued to flower and make more. Small yields, but easty to maintain. I did have to string them up for support or else they kept falling over. If left on too long they did get flat and tough, but if picked at the right time they are good, not super long but regular greenbean size. Very mild bean. I have them in full sun 6-8 hours sun, zone 6b (HOT humid summers), watering occasionally outside of germination period and rain. Every seed germinated, i probably could have thinned out the seedlings to get higher yeilds with bigger plants. May be best for pickling or canning with some spices. Overall satisfied for my first try!
Beans were flat only grew to about 3-4 inches each and very stringy when cooked. Wouldn’t grow these again
First ordered this bean seed this spring and recently started picking the beans. 99% of the beans are short flat beans -- no comparison to the seed description and image depicted on website. I had to mow the plants out of the garden with resulting wasted planting time, fertilizer application, etc. and resulting loss of beans for canning. I will never order this seed again and am very disappointed that Eden Bros. would so seriously misrepresent a product.

I have ordered these in the past and only had a few plants that had a short flat bean. This year about 90 % were flat so disappointing. Will not buy these in the future.

I bought these bean seeds as the season with climbers was over and I wanted to grow some bush type as a second crop. They came up quickly and well. When I got to the stage where I could begin picking them, they were stringy, not tender at all, and they did not have much in the way of flavor. I found it hard to believe because I used to grow all bush beans and they were always great tasting and harvested loads of beans. I was really disappointed.

I don't know if anyone else had this experience with these seeds, but all the seeds in this bag produced short flat bean pods rather than the nice slender and rounded beans pictured in Eden Bros site. They are edible, yes, but surely not what I was looking to purchase. I'm kind of bummed and disappointed. The seeds all produced nice healthy looking little plants, so viability was not an issue for sure. It's just that flat beans were not what I was looking for.
