Having never grown anemones before, these made their way into my garden because my wife asked to add variety into our ranunculus bed. These gems popped up very fast and are extremely strong bloomers. I have not seen blooms from the ranunculus that were planted at the same time, but we are seeing blooms From the ‘secret garden’ mix.
The anemones I received were a pale pink, not white as shown.

The package directions were definitely lacking. It told me how deep to plant, and how big they would get. It did NOT state that I really needed to soak the corms for four hours. It did not state that orientation of corms is of vital importance. I’m also confused why they sent them to me now, when I’m in zone 9b. Most places won’t even let me buy now for my zone, but they don’t ship until now. I think I should have thrown them on the shelf until fall. So—they weren’t pre-soaked, they were thrown in the hole any which way, and it’s going to be too hot here before they actually bloom. What a waste of time and energy. My fault? Yes. Could the package have contained these specific instructions? Also yes.

I ordered 2 orders of these, none of them took. It was a very big disappointment.
