Considered a "pre-bloom", SunFill Purple Sunflower possesses green "petals" (actually calyx) at the center that fade to purple. Cut stems when buds form but before the small, yellow petals appear. SunFill Purple produces very small heads with few petals and this will dictate when to harvest. Cut early for small buds or wait a bit longer before petals form to harvest larger buds. SunFill Purple is pollen-free and grows on a single, straight stalk.
