About Elephant Ear Bulbs - Aloha
Colocasia esculenta
Elephant Ear Bulbs Aloha is a hardy and vibrant taro variety with the striking foliage that we have come to love in elephant ear varieties. This cultivar is the result of a cross between the hybrid varieties Maui Gold and Coal Miner. Mature plants can grow up to four feet tall and three feet wide. Its glossy, heart-shaped leaves emerge as dark olive green and mature into a deep purple-black, highlighted by bold, contrasting light green veins. The leaves can grow up to one foot long and ten inches wide, adding a dramatic touch to the garden landscape.
