Sales Tax FAQ
Eden Brothers charges sales tax on orders shipping to a number of states where we are required by law to collect state tax. The Supreme Court ruling (South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc., Overstock.com, Inc., and Newegg, Inc.) changed the state sales tax requirements for all companies like ours that sell remotely through websites. To comply, Eden Brothers must collect and remit sales tax in accordance with state and local tax laws. If you are a long-time customer, you may have noticed that we added sales tax to the website; again, this is a legal requirement.
How is sales tax calculated?
The amount of sales tax charged depends on products purchased, the shipping destination of the order, and the location from which orders are shipped. The estimated sales tax may differ from the final amount charged for your order.

What is Eden Brothers’ process for tax exemptions?
For individuals who think they may be tax exempt, such as farmers, resellers and others, please reference your State Department of Revenue to verify your state’s exemption requirements. Our tax exempt customers should email the following information to service@edenbrothers.com:
- Email address
- Physical address
- Phone number
- Authorized individual’s name
- Copy of tax exempt form, which can be located here for each state
After emailing Eden Brothers, please wait up to 72 business hours for approval. We'll notify you via email once the tax exempt status is approved. At that time, you should begin placing orders with the email associated with tax exempt certificate. As long as the certificate has not expired, you will not be charged tax.
Please understand that we are unable to retroactively apply tax exemption to an order.
