Pollinator attractor bulbs bring life to the garden
- They're beautiful AND serve a specific purpose
- Pollinators help sustain our ecosystems
- Pollinators provide great entertainment and delight
- Pollinators promote additional flower growth
The best pollinator magnets
Some of our favorite flower bulbs aren’t just appealing to us—the bees and butterflies love flowers, too. After all, flowering plants designed themselves to be attractive to pollinators, and we humans are just secondary beneficiaries.
Save the bees with pollinator attractor bulbs
You’re probably aware of the plight of the pollinators. Native bees, butterflies, and other insects are dying at an alarming rate due to habitat loss and climate change. Since pollinators are so essential to our lives (if not for pollinators we wouldn’t be able to eat a lot of foods), why not take action to save the bees? Even if the action is as small as planting a few pollinator-friendly flower bulbs, you’ll make a world of difference on a small scale.
What’s even more important than planting pollinator-friendly bulbs? Planting quality flower bulbs. At Eden Brother’s we’re passionate about environmental justice, and so we take special care to source our flower bulbs from the highest quality sources. We and our suppliers never use GMOs in our products to protect you and the local pollinator population safe and in good health.
Let your cut flower garden double as a pollinator patch
What do you already love? Begonias? Crocus? Dahlias? Chances are they’re pollinator attractors too. Pollinators are drawn to showy, fragrant flowers just like we are. When you order your flower bulbs, be sure to order a few extras, since you’re buying for more than just yourself, after all. Even if you plan on cutting most of your flowers, try to leave at least a few for the pollinators to enjoy.
Pollinators love annual flowers, but insects need somewhere to overwinter, too. Bushy plants like hostas provide habitat for pollinators through the cold winter months when little else is growing.
h2>Early spring flowers for beesPollinators love all flowers, but just like people, seem to have a special fondness for early spring flowers. Fall-planted bulbs are among the first to flower in spring, and these blooms are a vital food source for scarce spring nectar.
Tuck alliums and hyacinths into the garden before the first frost of fall, and by late spring your garden will be the local neighborhood pollinator hub.
Eden Brother’s exclusive species-specific mixes are designed to extend the bloom season for your benefit as well as the pollinators. Try 60 Days of Lilies Long Lasting Lily Bulb Mix or 60 Days of Tulips Long Lasting Mix for two months of flowering. Better yet, combine the two mixes for blooms from early spring until late summer!
There really aren’t enough flowers in the world, and at Eden Brothers we’re on a mission to change that. Join us and grow our collective environmental impact by planting these pollinator attractor bulbs in your flower garden! Find out how to get the best results in our Gardening 101 resource center.
